System of Spheres-based Two Level Credibility-limited Revisions

چکیده
Two level credibility-limited revision is a non-prioritized operation. When revising by two revision, levels of credibility and one incredibility are considered. sentence at the highest credibility, operator behaves as standard if second then outcome process coincides with contraction negation that sentence. If not credible, original belief set remains unchanged. In this paper, we propose construction for operators based on Grove's systems spheres present an axiomatic characterization these operators.

Credibility Limited Revision
Five types of constructions are introduced for non-prioritized belief revision, i.e., belief revision in which the input sentence is not always accepted. These constructions include generalizations of entrenchment-based and sphere-based revision. Axiomatic characterizations are provided, and close interconnections are shown to hold between the di®erent constructions. x
متن کاملCredibility-Limited Improvement Operators
In this paper we introduce and study credibility-limited improvement operators. The idea is to accept the new piece of information if this information is judged credible by the agent, so in this case a revision is performed. When the new piece of information is not credible then it is not accepted (no revision is performed), but its plausibility is still improved in the epistemic state of the a...
متن کاملCredibility-Limited Revision Operators in Propositional Logic
In Belief Revision the new information is generally accepted, following the principle of primacy of update. In some case this behavior can be criticized and one could require that some new pieces of information can be rejected by the agent because, for instance, of insufficient plausibility. This has given rise to several approaches of non-prioritized Belief Revision. In particular (Hansson et ...

The normalized gain (or the g-factor) has been widely used in physics education community as an assessment measure for student performance. In particular, it allows researchers to compare different instructions using classes with different initial states. Systematic differences were identified by R. Hake with thousands of students, which show that classes, however different initially, tend to h...
